I can feel it in my bones

Felt like making something for my Easter outfit (: I was sick, so I spent some time sewing while at home.

Linen base, grosgrain ribbon as waistband interlining, and embroidered organza outer layer. This semi-sheer linen was really pretty, but I knew it would grow and warp out of control in the wash, so I left the ends raw, with a line of stay stitching. To keep the waistband from growing, I used grosgrain ribbon as interlining, on each side of the waistband. Added more stitching to keep control, and to flatten it, due to puffiness from the shirred skirt fabric sandwiched in between.

skirt: selfmade
